Stamping with Friends

I had a great time stamping with friends last night! Thought I would share the projects we worked on.

The first is our 3D project for the month. We made these coasters out of inexpensive tiles. I encouraged everyone to use their favorite paper for this project since the current Designer Series Paper won't be around much longer, it retires after next month.

Of course we had to make a Mother's Day card, since May is knocking on our door. We used punches to create the cute handbag embellishment and the Big Shot to cut letters. We also used the new Diagonal Score Plate to create matching envelopes for our square cards.

The third project was a simple spring card using the butterfly punch and pretty spring colors. The tiny pearls add just the right detail to the middle butterfly.
If you would like to make any of these projects, consider hosting a workshop with a few of your friends. You can enjoy a little "girl time" and make some useful projects for yourself or as gifts for others!

Don't forget to leave a comment so I know you stopped by :)

March Madness 2012

WOW! Where did this month go? I can't believe it is all but over. I loved spending a week with my daughter while she was on Spring Break. That was probably the highlight of the month for me, although there is still a greatly anticipated basketball game between University of Louisville and University of Kentucky. I would really like to watch the game with my brother who graduated from UK the same year I graduated from UL. That might even surpass Spring Break...if the Cardinals won. :)

During Spring Break I attended the midnight premier of the Hunger Games movie with my family and some friends. Here's a pic of my kids with one of their friends. They dressed up as characters from the book.
My daughter and her roommate used the kitchen as a bakery one day of Spring Break and made 130+ cookies to give out on campus to solicit votes for the Student Government election that was held yesterday. My dd is now the vice president! Here's a pic of the packages they handed out...of course we had to do some stamping on them :)
On Tuesday this week I got to spend the morning with a little angel. Here's a pic of sweet baby Olivia that came to visit me. I was so happy to step in as substitute babysitter!
Today I caught you up on some family news, tomorrow I will catch you up on some stampin projects I have been doing this month! Please post a comment so I know that you stopped by to visit! :)

A Blessing A Day {March 8}

Well, today was a very rainy day and I was gone for most of it. I went to lunch with one of my friends from Camp Hope after our Bible Study. It was her reward for completing all of her homework last week. We had a great time and I really enjoyed visiting with her and getting to know her better. This Beth Moore study we are working on is pretty tough and I am so proud of these ladies for persevering. I intended to take a picture of us at lunch so I could post it on here, but I forgot. I did get to hear her quote most of the first chapter of James from memory :). God is doing amazing things through this study.

Although I was gone most of today, I did have a chance to play in my craft room yesterday. Here are some of the fun things I made...

This first item is a little 3X3 card that I made to deliver with Stampin' Up toys that some friends ordered :)
These next 2 projects are punch art items that I was playing with. I am so pleased with how cute they turned out. I think the little pirate is my favorite..

Hope you are blessed beyond measure today!
