Arrrgh, Matey!

In honor of September 19, Talk Like a Pirate Day, I created a quick scrapbook page of my kiddos in the fall show at the Forum last year.  Hope you will celebrate this day with me!

Missing My Boy!

My baby left for college last month.  I know that he is exactly where God wants him to be and that he is doing exactly what God wants him doing.  Still, I miss him like crazy!  Last week I sent a small care package to him that included some staple items for their pantry and also some chocolate dipped oreos that I made for him and his roommates.  I also included this cute little milk carton filled with his favorite snack...BBQ sunflower seeds.

I am thinking of making one for my house with Proverbs 22:6 on one of the panels.  "Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it." (NLT)  Thank the Lord for this precious promise for our kids!  I am very proud of both of mine, and can't wait to see where God's path will lead them.  :)

It's A Boy!

Congratulations to our friends Tara & Bobby Vance whose sweet baby boy was born yesterday!  Their nursery is decorated in owls and I had fun making this card for them...

That cute little paper diaper pin was a result of me trying to find a use for every scrap of paper possible.  I guess I succeeded!  It was actually very easy to make and didn't require any fussy gluing or anything.

Going to be busy busy busy in my craft room today.  Hope its productive!

Card Class Projects

I love to stamp, but it is always more fun with friends.  I had 14 show up for my card class tonight.  :)  Some were new stampers and some are already as obsessed with the hobby as I am.  Here are the  projects we worked on...

This first one is a sweet little owl card that we made with a top note die and some punches.

We also made a harvest card using the Harvest Blessing stamp set from Stampin' Up.  We got to do a little coloring with pencils on this card, and used the Big Shot and an embossing folder to add a little texture.

Our final project is a little cork board to post notes on.  I also stamped some Scripture cards to put on our boards.  My daughter came with a couple of her college friends.  These will look so cute in their dorm rooms!  I think I will hang mine near my desk and switch out my verse every week or so.
If you couldn't come to the class tonight and are interested in making any of these projects, please let me know.  We can schedule a time to get together and create!

Fall!

I love almost everything about fall.  I love football.  I love the cooler weather.  I love the preparation and anticipation of the coming holidays.  Thanks to the accountability of some friends and fellow stampers, I already have a decent start on my Christmas cards for this year.  We are getting together monthly to make cards so there won't be a last minute rush in December.  This week I also played around with making some ornaments out of small tiles found at the home improvement store.  I stamped on it using Stazon ink and added a little bling and some ribbon.
So quick and easy!

I am excited to share with you that I was able to promote to Supervisor in August.  I have wonderful customers who helped me reach that goal!  Thanks to each of you.

My next Stampin' class is coming up on Tuesday.  Please let me know if you plan to attend.  Enjoy the long weekend!
